Rubins

Sherry Rubins is a Professor of Practice and Coordinator of the Percussion area at the University of Texas at San Antonio. She is principal timpanist with the Mid-Texas Symphony and has performed as timpanist and percussionist with the Victoria Bach Festival (TX) and the Mozart Texas Festival at the University of the Incarnate Word. Sherry has also been a regular substitute player with the San Antonio Symphony for over 30 years. Ms. Rubins is an educational clinician and artist with the Zildjian Cymbal company, Vic Firth, the Remo company, and the Yamaha Corporation. She has been a regular presenter at the Texas Music Educators Association convention and the Percussive Arts Society International Convention.
